  1. What a delight to see you and Charlie and Caitlin.
You are a gift to me and I am blessed to call you 'friend'. (friends)

Your journey is not one any of us would choose or wish upon another but it is the one God has chosen for you at this time. Death is 100% certain for all of us whether the "C" word is part of our lives or not. We all will die only God knows when. You have been given a chance to truly appreciate life's blessings.

Those who will or are following your blog are probably aghast at my last comment for we tend to reject the thoughts of mortality ours or anyone elses.

I want to share with you some things you already know and are showing to the world. However, you will need to be reminded from time to time as bumps in our roads can sometimes put things out of perspective.

Life is precious. None of us knows the number of our days but we can make the most of the moments we have. You are about to do just that. What is important in life is what you are going to focus on.

Your wonderful husband, each of your delightful children, to include your daughter-n-law; your family, your friends are all now your focus. Moments shared with them are a treasure, even if God allows you 30 more years of life these remain your treasures. The smell of a new rain, fresh cut grass, the feel of clean sheets :), a hug, a kiss, a gentle and kind word will make your day a delight.

Be certain to keep very short lists of the things that bother you. Forgive quickly and often. Tell those you love just that "I love you".

As you make this journey know that God is in control and He cares about you. Know that you will have some bumpy days but that you are not alone. Know that you do not have to be strong for everyone all of the time, let them be strong for you as well.

I will keep you in prayer and I know God will be with you through this.

Keep your humor but do not be afraid to cry. Keep your fight but do not be afraid to let others fight for you.
Keep enjoying life a moment at a time.

    Your friend, Claudia
